Can I show the timer on a TV?

Yes. Open TV display from the timer to choose how to show your workout on a larger screen. Use AirPlay, a compatible HDMI adapter or a TV with a web browser.

For the browser option, connect the iPhone and TV to the same Wi-Fi network. Start sharing, open the address shown on the phone in the TV browser and keep the app open. AirPlay requires a compatible receiver.
